Dr. Naya Williams

Māori Clinical Psychologist

Dr Naya Williams (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa) seeks to foster a transparent therapeutic environment where clients feel informed about their options, able to ask questions, and empowered to play an active role in choosing what their therapeutic journey will look like. Naya is a proud indigenous Māori woman, and draws upon her own cultural identity to promote healing and wellbeing. Her relational approach intergrates Māori values, which allow her to gently whakamana (empower) clients to recognise and embrace their own strengths and identities.

Naya utilises evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy principles. Her trauma-informed and individualised methods aim to ensure that each client’s unique needs are met with care and respect.

Price: $240 NZD per 50 minute session on weekdays $250 NZD per 50 minute session on weekends$140 NZD per hour of report writing, where required. 

Availability: Naya is not taking on new clients at present, however has a waitlist at present for clients.

Dr. Tamara Anderson

Māori Clinical Psychologist

BA (First Class Hons), DClinPsy

As a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Tamara Anderson (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Wai, Ngāti Pūkenga, Ngāti Pākehā) holds expertise in a variety of therapeutic orientations, including Individual Systemic Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative and compassion-based therapies. Furthermore, her approach is culturally responsive, feminist, neuro-affirming and trauma-informed, ensuring that she is able to effectively and safely support a diverse range of clients.

An important element of Dr. Anderson's approach is her belief in a reflexive relationship with her clients. She recognizes that they are the experts of their own lives and encourages a collaborative and empowering approach to psychological assessment and therapy. In the therapeutic relationship, clients are able to explore their challenges, make sense of them, and develop new skills and ways of being that promote personal growth and hauora (well-being).

Price: $200 per 50 minute session on weekdays $220 per 50 minute session on weekends $140 for report writing, if required

Dr. Cherry Reihana

Māori Clinical Psychologist

BA (First Class Hons), DClinPsy

Dr Cherry Reihana (Ngāti Hine) offers both in person sessions (Warkworth) and online sessions to clients throughout Aotearoa. She is passionate about walking alongside people who are finding life challenging, creating a compassionate space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported to move towards their goals.

Cherry is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities, including DBT, CBT, ACT, Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches. She has experience supporting individuals with a variety of mental health challenges, some of these include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, C-PTSD and trauma-related difficulties.

Price: $200 per 50 minute session. $140 for report writing, if required

Cherry is able to complete neurodiversity assessments please enquire for an all inclusive price.
